Virtually impossible to kill, Dracaena’s are perfect for people with limited time for looking after plants! This stunning magenta Dracaena also called Marginata, has beautiful red tips on it’s leaves and some people know it as the dragon tree.
Dracaena’s are great indoor plants to have as they are one of the best air purifiers, removing benzene, trichloroethylene & formaldehyde from the air!
I would always pop a Dracena in a shady spot as it’s leaves will start to fade if it’s kept in direct sunlight.
Give your Dracaena water once a week, with some plant food, to keep it happy & healthy.
Preferred Light Conditions for a Dracaena
Dracaena’s pretty much hate direct sunlight, it causes it’s leaves to fade & turn brownish! Always keep your Dracaena in a shady spot with lots of indirect light.
How Often Should I Water My Dracaena
Dracaena’s are pretty resilient to neglect, so forgetting to water it for a week won’t necessarily kill your plant! We do recommend that you water your Dracaena once a week, on the same day each week, with some of our biostimulant indoor plant food solution. It will give your Dracaena all the nutrients it needs to grow and withstand a bit of plant owner neglect.
Is My Dracaena Safe For Children & Pets?
Dracaena’s definitely aren’t a nutritious afternoon snack! They contain saponins which may cause drooling, vomiting, weakness, incoordination and dilated pupils in pets.
